I have been interested in Visual Arts and involved in creating images all of my life. I have painted, drawn, sculpted, and even taken artistic welding in Stratford, Ontario.
In my early years, photography was part of many family trips in my youth and now, it's a passion in my adult life. Most of my middle school and high school education was completed in South Africa, where my family lived for 8 years. We took many “field trips” in the veld and safari-like drives through Kruger National Park with my family.
While there, I never tired of watching for birds, giraffes or the “big five” (elephant, rhino, leopard, lion and hippo). Now, I have been lucky enough to spend many summers watching birds and mammals in Northern and Eastern Ontario.
I love teaching Visual Arts and Photography to students who are now the age I was, when I fell in love with capturing images, compositions, and expressing myself through Visual Arts.
Kayaking and biking are some of my favourite activities.
Some of my favourite memories...
